A Dog's Will

In a small town in Northeastern Brazil, two poor men, João and Chicó, try to scam their way to a better life. They steal food from the local baker's dog, accidentally killing it, and then try to make amends by getting the priest to bless the animal. Their antics lead to a series of misadventures, including seducing the baker's wife, Dora, and convincing the town's richest man, Major Antônio Morais, to pay for Chicó's marriage to his daughter, Rosinha. However, their schemes eventually land them in trouble with the law and they are brought before the Devil himself for judgment. Will they be able to talk their way out of this one? A hilarious comedy with a touch of fantasy and a wild cast of characters.
