Kit Kittredge: An American Girl

In the midst of the Great Depression, ten-year-old Kit Kittredge's father loses his business and leaves to find work, leaving Kit and her mother to fend for themselves. Determined to save their home, Kit and her mother turn it into a boarding house, taking in a cast of colorful characters. When the mother's lockbox containing all their savings is stolen, Kit's new hobo friend Will is accused of the crime. Refusing to believe Will is guilty, Kit sets out to uncover the truth, leading her and her friends on a thrilling adventure filled with twists and turns. With the help of her resourcefulness and determination, Kit discovers the real story behind the theft and saves the day, proving that even the smallest of heroes can make a big difference.
