High Anxiety

High Anxiety is a comedy-thriller film that follows the story of Dr. Richard Thorndyke, a psychiatrist who is appointed as the director of a mental institution after the previous director's mysterious death. Thorndyke soon discovers that the institute is run by a eccentric staff who are more crazy than the patients, and they seem to be hiding sinister secrets. As he tries to uncover the truth behind the institution's strange occurrences, Thorndyke becomes the target of a killer and must confront his own fear of heights to survive. The film is a parody of Alfred Hitchcock's movies, with references to Psycho, Vertigo, and The Birds, and features a unique blend of humor and suspense.
