Inspired by a true story, this movie follows the rise and fall of Gwen Shamblin, a charismatic figure who founded a Christian diet program called "Weigh Down Workshop." But as her influence grows, so do accusations of exploitation and cult-like practices within her church. Tragedy strikes when Gwen's husband, who is piloting their private plane, crashes, killing Gwen, her husband, their grandson, and four other members of the church.
