Black

Black is a powerful drama about a young girl named Michelle who is born with sight and hearing, but loses them both at a young age due to illness. Growing up, she is violent and uncontrollable, until she meets Debraj, an elderly alcoholic teacher who takes it upon himself to educate her. Through his harsh methods, Michelle learns to communicate and express herself, and eventually grows into a confident and expressive woman. However, Debraj's own life is complicated by his struggles with Alzheimer's disease, which causes him to forget important memories and eventually leave Michelle's side. Despite this, Michelle continues to pursue her dreams and eventually earns her degree. The film ends with a touching moment between Michelle and Debraj, as they remember the first time they understood the meaning of words, and the impact that it had on their lives.
