Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

In the small town of Glen Echo, a charismatic young man named Leslie Vernon has given a documentary crew exclusive access to his life as he plans his reign of terror over the sleepy community. Leslie claims to be a boy from a local urban legend who supposedly became possessed and killed his family before being killed by the townsfolk, but having in fact survived the attack. He walks the crew through his plans to orchestrate a killing spree at his family's old farm, where he will slaughter a number of teenagers before being confronted by his chosen virginal "survivor girl." As the documentary crew follows Leslie, they begin to question their own morals and ethics, and the lines between reality and fiction become increasingly blurred. But as they delve deeper into Leslie's world, they realize that there is more to his story than meets the eye - and that the truth may be more terrifying than they ever could have imagined
