Amen.

Amen is a historical drama film that explores the links between the Vatican and Nazi Germany during World War II. The movie follows the story of Kurt Gerstein, a Waffen-SS officer who designs programs for the purification of water and the destruction of vermin, but is shocked to discover that his work is being used to kill Jews and other "undesirables" in extermination camps. Gerstein attempts to notify Pope Pius XII about the atrocities, but is met with indifference from the Catholic hierarchy. He finds support in Riccardo Fontana, a young Jesuit priest who shares his outrage and joins him in his quest to raise awareness about the genocide. Despite their efforts, the Vatican remains silent, and Fontana ultimately sacrifices his own life to stand in solidarity with the Jewish people. The film denounces the indifference of those who knew about the crimes but chose to remain silent, and highlights the courage of those who spoke out against injustice, even in the face of extreme danger.
