In the shadow of Tokyo's towering skyline, a young girl named Mutsuko arrives in the city with big dreams and a small suitcase. She's been hired by a prestigious auto company, or so she thinks. Instead, she finds herself working in a cramped, rambunctious repair shop owned by the temperamental Suzuki and his wife Tomoe. Despite the initial culture shock, Mutsuko finds a sense of belonging among the quirky community, including a struggling writer named Chagawa and his precocious son Ippei. As the group navigates life's ups and downs, they discover that family is not just about blood ties, but about the bonds we form along the way.
