In a world populated by sentient robots, Rodney Copperbottom, a young robot with an inventor's spirit, dreams of making the world a better place. He idolizes Bigweld, a master inventor who has lost his way. Rodney's journey to Robot City to meet Bigweld becomes an adventure filled with action and danger as he battles against the evil Ratchet and his mother, who seek to control the city and suppress the robot population. Along the way, Rodney forms friendships with misfit robots known as the Rusties and falls in love with Cappy, a beautiful and dynamic bot. Together, they fight for their rights and for Bigweld's freedom from Ratchet's tyranny. With its themes of friendship, love, diversity, and self-acceptance, this imaginative animated film is fun for all ages but may trigger sensory sensitivities in some viewers due to fast-paced sequences or flashing lights.
