The Collector

In this gripping Canadian TV series, a man named Morgan Pym (Chris Kramer) has been tasked with collecting souls for the Devil (played by a different actor in each episode) for over 600 years. However, Morgan has grown tired of his job and wants to help his "clients" redeem themselves instead of sending them to Hell. He negotiates a deal with the Devil, allowing him 48 hours to try and redeem each client before they are condemned to eternal damnation. With the Devil's mocking gaze watching over him, Morgan sets out to undo the damage caused by the deals made with the Devil, which have often resulted in good luck for the client at the expense of others. As Morgan works to redeem the souls of his clients, he encounters a variety of characters, including Jeri Slate (Ellen Dubin), a reporter who becomes obsessed with Morgan and his mysterious involvement in various controversial incidents; Gabriel Slate (Aidan Drummond), Jeri's son who is somehow connected to Morgan and the Devil; Maya Kandinski (Carly Pope/Sonya Salomaa), a former heroin addict and prostitute who Morgan befriends and helps with her addiction; and Taylor Slate (Christine Chatelain), Jeri's younger sister who is suddenly tasked with caring for Gabriel when Jeri is out pursuing a story. With its unique blend of drama and sci-fi elements, "The Collector" explores themes of redemption, morality, and the consequences of making deals with the Devil.
