Pantanal: Season 1

Pantanal is a sweeping drama series that explores the lives of three generations of men and their struggles to find their place in the unforgiving landscape of the Brazilian countryside. The story begins in the 1940s, following Joventino and his young son Zé as they make a new life for themselves in the Pantanal region. After Joventino disappears, Zé continues his father's legacy, becoming one of the most successful farmers in the country. He marries Madeleine, a wealthy woman from Rio de Janeiro, but their differences tear them apart and she leaves him, taking their son with her. Years later, Zé finds love with Filó, a former prostitute, but their relationship is complicated by the return of his now adult son, Jove. Jove falls in love with a wild young woman named Juma, who is said to possess the ability to transform into a jaguar. As the three generations of men struggle to understand each other and find their place in this harsh world, they must also confront the dangerous and mysterious forces that lurk in the shadows of the Pantanal.
