Matadero: Season 1

In the sleepy town of Torrecillas, a mysterious web of crime and deception unfolds amidst the rolling hills of Castile. Francisco, a powerful businessman, imports cheap pigs from Portugal, but some of them hold a dark secret - they're used to smuggle cocaine. His brother-in-law Alfonso, a veterinarian, is tired of being complicit in Francisco's scheme and certifying subpar animals. When Francisco's lover organizes the theft of the latest drug-smuggling pigs, a violent chain of events ensues, entangling a hitman duo, a vengeful Portuguese gangster, and Maria, Francisco's niece and a member of the Guardia Civil. As tensions rise, Alfonso finds himself caught in the crossfire, and the truth about Francisco's operation begins to unravel. In the midst of it all, Alfonso's wife Maria Jose, gets promoted in her sales company, while Salvador, a local farmer and rival of Francisco's , tries to win the heart of Almudena , the woman he has always loved.
