In this romantic comedy-drama, of Hana Nochi Hare: HanaDan Next Season, a group of high school students must navigate love, social status, and student politics. Edogawa Oto, a student from a formerly wealthy family, now works part-time to make ends meet. Haruto Kaguragi, the leader of the school's elite group known as the C5, is determined to keep his school's reputation high. Despite their different backgrounds and social standings when Oto and Haruto cross paths they form a bond that could jeopardize everything they've worked for. Will their secrets be exposed, or will their connection help bridge the gap between different worlds? The Correct 5, a group of five boys who are dedicated to maintaining their school's prestige by seeking out and intimidating students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, rule the school. Edogawa Oto, who comes from a family that has fallen on hard times, is one of these students. As Oto tries to balance her life as a student and a part-time worker, she meets Kaguragi Haruto, the leader of the Correct 5 and the most popular student in school. Despite their vastly different backgrounds when Oto and Haruto find out each other's secrets—that Haruto purchases self-help items to become stronger and that Oto is poor working at a convenience store – they make a promise to keep each other's secret.
