In a dystopian future, Gotham City has evolved into a futuristic metropolis known as Neo-Gotham. Bruce Wayne, now in his 70s, has retired from his crime-fighting days as Batman and lives in isolation at Wayne Manor. Terry McGinnis, a 16-year-old high school student and reformed juvenile delinquent, discovers Bruce's secret identity and the entrance to the Batcave after a high-speed motorcycle chase with a criminal gang known as the Jokerz. When Terry's father is murdered, he discovers that his father had uncovered the production of illegal chemical weapons by Derek Powers, a powerful businessman. With Bruce's reluctant blessing, Terry dons the Batsuit and takes on the mantle of Batman to bring Powers to justice. In this gritty sci-fi adventure series, Terry must navigate the dangerous streets of Neo-Gotham and confront the dark secrets of his family's past while battling familiar villains from Batman's rogues gallery, including the Joker and Harley Quinn. With the support of Bruce and Commissioner Barbara Gordon, can Terry uphold the legacy of Batman and protect the people of Neo-Gotham?
