As a recent widow, Julie struggles to balance her new role as a single mother and her job as the owner of a small business. With her son still grieving the loss of his father, Julie feels overwhelmed and alone. That is, until she develops an unlikely friendship with her older neighbor, Irene. Through their conversations and shared experiences, Julie begins to open up and find comfort in the company of this kind and wise woman. As the holiday season approaches, Julie and her son slowly learn to embrace the joys of Christmas once again, thanks in large part to Irene's support and guidance. Will their newfound connection be enough to help them heal and move forward, or will the pain of their past prove too much to overcome?
