In the small town of Oss in 1930s Holland, a ruthless gangster regime ruled the streets, extorting money from local businesses and corrupting even the most influential citizens. When Johanna van Heesch's husband Ties is released from prison, she hopes to start a new life and break free from her husband's criminal past. But as she tries to distance herself from her old life, she becomes further entangled in a web of deceit, prostitution, and murder. As the body count rises and the town descends into chaos, Johanna must confront the harsh reality of her situation and make a choice between her loyalty to her husband and her own survival.
