Scarlet

In the aftermath of World War I, a young girl named Juliette grows up alone with her father, a veteran of the war, in a small village in northern France. She finds solace in music and singing, and one summer, she meets a mysterious magician who promises her that scarlet sails will one day take her away from her village. As she grows older, Juliette never forgets the magician's prophecy and holds onto it as a source of hope and inspiration. Based on the fairy tale "The Scarlet Sails" by Aleksandr Grin, this film combines music, history, and folklore, and explores themes of magic realism.
