Roma

"Roma" is a poignant and intimate portrait of a domestic worker's journey, set against the backdrop of political turmoil and social unrest in 1970s Mexico. The film follows Cleodegaria "Cleo" Gutiérrez, a Mixtec live-in maid, as she navigates her way through the ups and downs of her life, facing challenges such as an unwanted pregnancy, a philandering boyfriend, and the threat of violence from paramilitary groups. Through it all, Cleo finds solace in her relationship with the family she works for, particularly Sofía, who provides emotional support and comfort amidst the chaos that surrounds them.
