Nota

Nota is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language political drama film directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja. The film stars Vijay Devarakonda, Nasser, and Mehreen Pirzada in the lead roles. The movie follows the story of Varun Subramanyam (Vijay Devarakonda), a video game designer who is forced to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu when his father, Vinodhan Subramanyam (Nasser), is imprisoned and loses his CM chair. Initially, Varun is reluctant to take up the role, but he eventually decides to use his position to bring about change in society and politics with the support of his advisor Mahendran (Sathyaraj). As Varun begins to make a difference, he faces opposition from various quarters, including his father's party and the opposition party led by Varadarajan (K.S.G.Venkatesh). He also uncovers a web of corruption and deceit within the government and among his father's associates, including Vinodhan's friend Satyananda (Tej Sapru) who had advised Vinodhan to pass on the post to his son. The film's climax features a chain of events, including Varun's sister Swathi (Mehreen Pirzada) meeting with an accident, Varun being framed for a crime, and Vinodhan's friend announcing one of his goons as the new CM. However, Varun manages to turn the tables and emerges victorious in the end.
