Nandha

Nandha, a young man who has served time for killing his father, returns home to start anew. However,s his mother, who is deaf and mute, still holds resentment towards him for his past actions. Under the guidance of Periyavar, a wealthy and influential man who runs a college, Nandha tries to turn his life around. He meets and falls in love with Kalyani, a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee. When Periyavar falls sick, Nandha stays by his side, but their enemies see this as an opportunity to strike. Durai , an antisocial element whom Periyavar refused to help, pulls out Periyavar's oxygen tube in the hospital and blames Nandah for murdering him. Nandha is acquitted due to lack of evidence, but his mother still fears her son's dark past. In a tragic twist of events, Nandah's mother poisons his food, and he dies in her lap, surrounded by those he loved.
