Fearless

Fearless is a movie about the legendary Huo Yuanjia, a Chinese martial arts master who rose to fame in the early 1900s. Huo Yuanjia's story begins with him fighting and defeating three Westerners, before he remembers his father's teachings and his own journey to becoming a martial arts master. The film then takes us through an extended flashback, showing how young Yuanjia was inspired by his father's fighting skills and how he vowed to regain his family's honor after his father was defeated in a match. As Huo grows older, he becomes more arrogant and reckless, but after a tragic incident that takes the lives of his mother and daughter, he flees Tianjin and wanders aimlessly for months. Eventually, he is taken in by Granny Sun and her blind granddaughter Yueci, who teach him the value of compassion and mercy. Years later, Huo returns to Tianjin and reconciles with his childhood friend Nong Jinsun before challenging the American wrestler Hercules O'Brien to a match. Throughout the film, we see how Huo Yuanjia evolves from a hot-headed youth into a compassionate warrior who fights not only for himself but also for China's honor.
