Everybody Knows

Everybody Knows, a movie by Asghar Farhadi, tells the story of Laura, a Spanish woman living in Buenos Aires, who returns to her hometown near Madrid with her teenage daughter and young son for her younger sister's wedding. During the celebration, Laura's daughter Irene disappears mysteriously. The family receives a ransom demand from kidnappers threatening to kill Irene if they involve the police. In their desperate attempt to raise the money, long-buried family secrets are revealed. Paco, an old friend of Laura's and a successful vineyard owner in the town, helps in the search for Irene but tensions rise as suspicions fall on various family members. As time runs out and mysterious events unfold, Everybody Knows becomes a gripping thriller that exposes dark truths about loyalty and deception within families.
