So I have waited, unfortunately, for a great, bing-watching show to come out and this surprisingly didn't disappoint. Excellent TV and Movies are hard to find. You have to wait forever, unless of course you consume junk or anything. I admit, I was hesitant to watch this series since Jake G. is not my favorite. You pretty much already know you'll get a high-anxiety, over the top, stressed out character from beginning to end. His anxiety is always on full display, but to this storyline's favor, it certainly works. Of course you'll have to have your twist ending, which I didn't love at all, but overall it's an excellent, addictive show worth all the high praise and ratings. The music, lighting, sound, casting...also all on point.
This has got to be one of the most discombobulated shows I've ever watched. People keep praising Benedict's performance which was overrated. Playing a schizophrenic self-destructive alcoholic. His self-destruction just became too unrealistic and annoying to watch. Then to add the extreme of a trans character (cuz of course you can't leave them out, but I actually liked the character bc he was pretty believable)... but it bounced off this broody, dark mumbling detective, and a so-called Mom that's grieving. Where are her parents? How is she sitting around eating cookies watching TV on the couch? Where are her friends? This major case and no one is there at the house to monitor the phones, etc. This show got worse every single episode. It felt like a lot of scenes were looped and the storyline just dragged on.
I could see where they were trying to take this series, but the acting was so childish and the scenes were so phony. This should be for kids. The book made all the headlines, only for the adaptation to be so terribly weak.
I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life for this fantastic buildup throughout the movie, only to fall dead flat at the end. What a waste.
Kinda slow but may be worth the watch if you have time.
Can't believe this girl went from Snabba Cash to this unrealistic, fake, bootleg, boring TV series. Completely whack!.
This movie was so dope and captivating. Days later I was still thinking about it. Plus, T did her thing with the acting.
Unbelievably FAKE and boring
Very slow start. I thought I was just watching random, police problems... Then FINALLY a plot started to seep through. Then it was engaging for both seasons. However, the end was traumatizing. So much so I don't think I would want to watch S3 if they aired it in the future.
Creepy, slow burn drama, but engaging enough to keep watching. Very surprised Apple TV had something worth while to watch and keep watching till the end. Such a boring app.
Wasn't a fan of Niecy Nash's constant lines. Her & Dahmer didn't even interact that closely or that often.
Definitely like Elizabeth Olsen's version than Jessica Biel. This version seemed much more believable. Elizabeth's acting is getting stronger and better!
Slow burn. Horrible, boring, & useless ending.
The dialogue was off. I couldn't comprehend what was being said if the captions weren't on. Way too much unnecessary swearing and profanity.
Slow but a good burn
The quality of writing, the plot, acting, scenery, music doesn't get much better than this.
Worth watching. Very slow at some parts, but it definitely picks up.
Exceptional
Stupid & entertaining
One of the most irritating and suspenseful shows, but over the top unreal.
Long but inspiring
First half was boring. Second half was a lot better.
