The first half of the first season is among the best TV ever made. Seriously. Stellar acting, wonderful cinematic approaches. Second half is still really good although the last episode was such a trope filled American cinematic train-wreck that it effectively killed my every desire to watch further seasons. Still did, though. :) My advice is, watch the first season, lower your expectations for the ending and just enjoy the ride.
