The skills of the participants in Australia are absolutely amazing. The level is significantly higher compared to MasterChef in other countries (I have seen them from Denmark, England and the USA).
There is a fantastic, friendly and warm atmosphere because the participants are so nice to each other. The same with judges, who are friendly, highly respekter and bring out the best in the participants.
Very different from the US version, where the contestants constantly talk badly about their opponents, and then everyone has to be afraid of the judges, instead of respecting them. The judges demean both the food and the participants in a sad way. You can easily offer constructive criticism, rather than almost bullying the participants if they have failed or throwing the food away with derisive comments.
The US version made me sad (not watching it for that reason) so I wish they could learn a little (a lot) from the ozzies - and the food will be better for it ❤️
