Wendell & Wild

I REALLY wanted to love this movie. Wendell and Wild had all of the ingredients to create a masterpiece of a movie but personally felt a little underwhelming. Wendell and Wild having wonderful representation of characters with creative design and a unique dark world crafted intricately. Not to mention this movie was directed by Henry Selick and produced by Jordan Peele!? I was thrilled to see what colliding these 2 together would make. As much as I really wanted to like this, the pacing felt rushed and clunky? A lot of characters would be introduced but felt very flat and confusing what everyone's motives were. Kat seems to resolve her biggest issue in a matter of seconds and nothing seems to have any emotional weight to it. Definitely still a movie to watch and appreciate the hardwork and dedication it took to create.
