My Heroic Husband

My Heroic Husband is a Chinese drama series that tells the story of a successful businessman who travels back in time to ancient China and inhabits the body of a young man named Ning Yi. He discovers that he is engaged to the daughter of a wealthy fabric merchant and learns that he will become a matrilocal husband, living with his wife's family instead of the other way around, as per traditional Confucian customs. As he navigates this new world, he uses his modern business acumen and knowledge of contemporary values to help his friends and battle corrupt local businesses. Ultimately, he becomes involved in the affairs of the country and works to protect the nation and its people. The series stars Guo Qi Lin and Song Yi as the lead couple and features a unique blend of drama, sci-fi, and comedy elements. It was directed by Deng Ke and is based on a novel by Fen Nu de Xiang Jiao.
