In a world where monstrous creatures called Neighbors have emerged from a portal to another dimension, threatening humanity's very existence, a mysterious group of warriors known as the Border Defense agency have adapted alien technology to fight back. With their advanced weapons, known as Triggers, they hope to turn the tide against the Neighbors and protect the Earth. But when a new student named Yûma Kuga transfers to the city's high school, he brings with him a secret that could change everything.
