Selina Meyer, a former Senator from Maryland, becomes the Vice President of the United States, but finds the job to be nothing like she expected. She must navigate the complex world of politics, dealing with her incompetent staff and constant public scrutiny, all while trying to make a positive impact on the country. Despite her best efforts, she is constantly thwarted by her boss, the President, who seems more interested in his own political agenda than in helping her succeed. As she struggles to make a difference, Selina must also contend with personal issues, including a strained relationship with her daughter and a complicated romantic life. Will she be able to overcome the obstacles and achieve her goals?
