Trickster

In the coastal town of Kitimat BC, Indigenous teen Jared struggles at the centre of his dysfunctional family. With parents facing personal demons amidst drug abuse - his mother's mental health deteriorates while his father remains unemployed with a new girlfriend - Jared juggles school with part-time jobs to support them. Selling Ecstasy to make ends meet, hides the truth from the off-reserve social worker Jan, who offers financial aid for their basic needs. As he encounters magical, supernatural events, hooded figures, doppelgangers, and ancient myths, he begins questioning his own reality. Will Jared find the strength within to claim his place as the leader his family needs, or will the mysterious forces encircling him threaten his very existence?
