Travelers

In a post-apocalyptic future, humanity's last hope lies in a team of special operatives, known as "travelers," who are sent back in time to the 21st century to prevent the collapse of society. These travelers assume the lives of seemingly random people, while secretly working together to perform high-stakes missions that will determine the fate of humanity. With their consciousnesses transferred into host bodies minutes before their deaths, they must navigate unfamiliar lives and relationships while avoiding detection by those who would seek to disrupt their mission. Led by Grant MacLaren, a seasoned FBI agent, the team consists of Marcy, a young woman with intellectual disabilities; Trevor, a high school quarterback; Carly, a single mother trapped in an abusive relationship; and Philip, a university student struggling with addiction. As they work together to complete their missions, they must confront the challenges of their new lives and relationships while also facing dangerous obstacles that threaten their very existence. With the Director, an artificial intelligence quantum computer program monitoring their every move from the future, they must operate under strict protocols that dictate their actions and decisions. But as they progress through their missions and encounter unexpected setbacks and betrayals along the way can they maintain enough trust among themselves to save humanity from its grim destiny?
