Bateadores cuenta la historia de dos hermanos gemelos, César y Carlos. Éstos, a pesar de ser gemelos, son muy diferentes. César es serio, responsable y estudioso, y resulta irresistible a las chicas, al ser la estrella del equipo de béisbol, el Mei Sei, pero sobretodo es un gran amigo. Carlos, en cambio, es un chico rebelde y gandul, tan esporádico y natural que cae bien sin intentarlo, pero no es responsable y esto le trae muchos problemas. Desde pequeños ambos han disfrutado de la compañía de su vecina y amiga Bárbara, por la que los dos sienten una gran atracción.
