In 18th century Flanders, a dashing highwayman named Jan de Lichte leads a band of oppressed peasants in a daring revolt against the corrupt aristocracy. With his charisma and cunning, Jan becomes a hero to the people as he steals from the rich and gives to the poor. But as the revolution gains momentum, Jan must confront the harsh realities of class struggle and decide how far he will go to achieve true social justice. Will he become a legendary outlaw, or a martyr for the cause?
