In a world where supernatural powers are the norm, Ueki Kosuke, an average junior high school student, has a unique ability - he can turn trash into trees. Chosen by a mysterious figure known as Mr. K, Ueki is forced to participate in a tournament of 100 students, each with their own special powers, to determine the next King of the Celestial World. With the help of his friends and a little sheep named U-lu, Ueki must navigate the battles and challenges that come his way, all while trying to keep his power out of the wrong hands and restoring the memories of those who have forgotten him.
