In a world where martial arts tournaments reign supreme, a mysterious organization known as NESTS conducts sinister experiments to grant humans supernatural powers. Meanwhile, warriors from different walks of life gather for the prestigious King of Fighters tournament, unaware of the dangerous forces lurking in the shadows. Kyo Kusanagi, a young fighter from Japan, joins forces with his friends Benimaru and Goro to take down the powerful crime lord Geese Howard, who has a personal vendetta against Terry Bogard and his adoptive family. As the tournament unfolds, Kyo and his allies must confront the Orochi, a mythical creature that has been awakened by the NESTS organization.
