In a world under attack by an alien force known as the Noise, a group of young girls must use their unique abilities and a powerful armor called the Symphogear to protect humanity. Tsubasa Kazanari and Kanade Amou, members of the popular idol group Zwei Wing, are among the chosen few who possess the power to wield the Symphogear. When Kanade sacrifices herself to save Hibiki Tachibana during a concert, Hibiki is left with a deep sense of loss and a newfound determination to carry on Kanade's legacy. Two years later, Hibiki discovers she has inherited Kanade's powers and must now join Tsubasa and the other Symphogear users in their fight against the increasingly powerful Noise threat. With their combined strength and the power of their songs, they must save the world from destruction.
