Meet the Lamberts and the Fosters, two families who couldn't be more different. Frank, a divorced contractor, has three kids - J.T., Al, and Brendan - while Carol, a widowed salon owner, has three kids of her own - Dana, Karen, and Mark. Despite their differences, Frank and Carol fall in love and decide to get married during a whirlwind vacation in Jamaica. But when they return home to Port Washington, Wisconsin, they realize that blending their families won't be easy.
