In the raw streets of Beirut, five young women form an unlikely bond through their shared passion for heavy metal music. Slave to Sirens, the first all-woman thrash metal band in the Middle East, is born. Amidst political unrest and the crumbling city, they find solace and strength in their music, negotiating the complexities of friendship, sexuality, and the destruction around them. Director Rita Baghdadi follows the band's founders and guitarists Lilas Mayassi and Shery Bechara as they navigate their emotional journeys with grace, raw passion, and a ferocious commitment to their art. A beacon of expression, resistance, and independence, Sirens is a powerful documentary that celebrates the power of music and sisterhood in the face of adversity.
