Singapore, 1964-65. A bustling metropolis at a crossroads. Political and racial tensions are on the rise as the British prepare to leave, and a new nation is about to be born. Against the vibrant backdrop of Bugis Street, with its bustling street stalls and tourists rubbing shoulders with American sailors and British soldiers, Serangoon Road follows the lives of Sam Callaghan, Patricia Cheng, and Conrad Harrison as they navigate the city's dark underbelly.
