Seventeen

Seitsemäntoista is a gripping drama that intertwines two tales of independence in 1917. As 17-year-olds Olivia and Iita struggle to find their place in the world, Finland fights to break free from Russian rule under the leadership of socialist Prime Minister Oskari Tokoi. Both stories culminate in heartbreaking betrayal and unnecessary bloodshed. The series features outstanding performances from debutante Elli Melasniemi and Milla-Mari Pylkkänen, known for her work as a musician, in the roles of the young women. The impressive cast of politicians includes Jarkko Pajunen, Tommi Eronen, Kai Lehtinen, Antti Luusuaniemi, Vesa Wallgren, Timo Tuominen, and Stan Saanila.
