Saki Episode of Side A

Shizuno Takakamo is a passionate Mahjong player who spends most of her time in the Achiga Middle School Mahjong Club, even though she's still in her last year of elementary school. When Nodoka Haramura, a new student with a talent for Mahjong, transfers to her school, the two quickly become friends. They both enter the Achiga Middle School, but the club is forced to disband due to the departure of their coach, and Nodoka transfers to a different school in her second year. Shizuno's time playing Mahjong seems to have come to an end, but everything changes when she sees Nodoka winning the middle school national championship on TV a year later. With renewed determination, Shizuno, along with other former Mahjong friends, decides to dedicate herself to the game once again in high school and try to meet Nodoka at the national high school tournament, while also reviving the Achiga School's High School Mahjong Club to its former glory.
