In the picturesque town of Cedeira, Galicia, a mysterious murder takes place. The victim is no other than the town's beloved mayor, Amparo Seoane. The only witness to the crime is Tomás, a cynical literature teacher obsessed with crime novels. Maite, a determined and unconventional sergeant from the Civil Guard, is tasked with solving the case. As they join forces, Tomás sees this as an opportunity to live a real-life crime story, while Maite is driven by her duty to uncover the truth.
