In the bustling city of Tokyo, a young woman named Tsukimi Kurashita dreams of becoming an illustrator. She moves into an all-female apartment complex, Amamizu-kan, where she finds a community of like-minded "fujoshis" - women who are passionate about anime, manga, and video games. However, their peaceful lives are disrupted when a stylish and fashionable woman, who appears to be a man in disguise, enters their lives. As Tsukimi gets to know this enigmatic stranger, she discovers a hidden world of secrets and misunderstandings that threaten to upend her own identity and relationships.
