Die französische Polizistin Kahina Zadi reist nach Kiruna in Schweden, um dort den bestialischen Mord an einem französischen Staatsbürger aufzuklären. Unterstützt wird sie vor Ort von dem Staatsanwalt und Samen Anders. Bald tauchen noch mehr Leichen auf, die nur den augenscheinlich wohlgeplanten, möglichst blutrünstigen Umstand ihres Todes gemeinsam haben. Je weiter Kahina und Anders ermitteln, desto mehr wird der Fall auch zu einem Trip in die eigene verdrängte Vergangenheit.
