Macross Frontier

In the year 2059, Mac55, the 25th New Macross-class Colonial Fleet, also known as Macross Frontier, is on a mission to find a habitable planet near the center of the Milky Way galaxy. The fleet, carrying 10 million people, is a combination of human and Zentradi allies. During a reconnaissance mission to an unexplored asteroid belt, the fleet is attacked by powerful, fast, and mysterious insectoid biomechanical alien mecha known as the "Vajra." The N.U.N.S. Colonial Defense Forces deploy a private military provider organization called S.M.S. (Strategic Military Services) to combat the alien threat using the new VF-25 Messiah variable fighter. The story follows three young adults, Alto Saotome, Ranka Lee, and Sheryl Nome, as they navigate their lives and relationships amidst this crisis.
