Jejoongwon

In the late 19th century, Korea's first modern hospital, Jejungwon, opens its doors to patients from all walks of life, despite the societal hierarchy of the time. Baek Do-yang, a nobleman, gives up his status to pursue a career in medicine at Jejungwon, where he rival's Hwang Jung, a former butcher's son who dreams of becoming a doctor. Yoo Seok-ran, a wealthy and modern woman, becomes the hospital's first female doctor under the mentorship of Lilias Horton. As the doctors face personal and professional challenges, they must also navigate the clash between traditional practices and modern medical science in a time of great social and historical turbulence.
