Jamie Johnson is a young boy with a passion for football, but his dreams of becoming a professional player are put to the test when he and his mother are forced to move in with his grandfather and he must start at a new school. Along the way, he faces challenges both on and off the field, including making new friends and dealing with bullies, all while trying to impress his football coach. As the series progresses, Jamie and his friends tackle tough issues like bullying, sexism, cheating, blackmail, relationships, diabetes, homelessness, multiple sclerosis, racism, crime and homophobia.
