Jamaica Inn

After her mother's death, Mary is forced to move to the isolated Jamaica Inn to live with her Aunt Patience. But she soon discovers that her aunt is under the control of her domineering husband Joss, who uses the inn as a front for his smuggling ring. As Mary becomes embroiled in their dangerous world, she finds herself torn between her loyalty to her aunt and her growing feelings for Jem, Joss' charming but dangerous younger brother.
