Iljimae

In 17th century Korea, a mysterious vigilante known as Iljimae robs corrupt government officials and gives to the poor, leaving behind a handkerchief with a plum blossom design at each scene. By day, he is Ryung, a seemingly useless gangster, but by night he is a chivalrous thief who seeks justice for his murdered family. Iljimae's actions have captured the attention of Eun Chae, a noblewoman who is torn between her love for him and her duty to her family. As the authorities close in on Iljimae's true identity, he must confront his past and face the consequences of his actions.
