Hanako & Anne

Hanako, a poor Japanese girl, goes on an adventure to study in a girls' Christian school in Tokyo. She discovers her passion for English and works hard to make her dreams come true. Along the way, she faces challenges and struggles, but with the help of her friends and family, she overcomes them and becomes a successful teacher and translator. As she pursues her love for English, she also discovers her love for Eiji, a man who shares her passion for literature. Together, they face the challenges of war and family opposition, but ultimately, they find happiness and fulfillment in each other's company. Through her journey, Hanako learns the importance of following her dreams and never giving up, even when faced with adversity.
